As the Theatre Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing quality planned care for patients during their preoperative phase of care, supporting and assisting with the management of care within an operating department, assisting with the delivery of patient care, contributing to quality improvement within the department and support the development of junior colleagues.

What experience & qualifications are required?

  • You will have a minimum of 12 months post graduate experience in theatres.
  • You shall possess an approved/ recognised anaesthetic course certification.
  • You will have had experience working across various surgical wards and/or departments in either a scrub or anaesthesia capacity.
  • You must be a Registered Practitioner with a valid NMC or HCPC.
  • Having ENB 998 and/or mentor ship training and certification is desirable.
  • Complying with all statutory and legal requirements throughout the home including HACCP, COSHH and the Care Standards Act Health and Safety, all aspects of the Health & Social Care Act to maintain a safe environment throughout the hospital.
  • Investigating any complaints, compiling reports and taking action as appropriate.Working Hours:
    • Full Time


    • £36,000 – PA (subject to experience)
